While entering the night rooms the other day, the caretakers discovered that a little male Red-Tailed monkey was injured – he had probably been caught into a fight and hurt his right humerus.
An X-Ray was immediately made to determine the severity of the broken arm and the vet surgeon was called. Since the primate was very young, and his bone very thin, the surgeon opted for a pin.
The baby monkey is doing well and he is adjusting to this new situation. We hope that he will soon recover the use of his arm. He has been transferred at our founder’s place for day and night care. We will update soon.
Please, wish the baby a prompt recovery and keep him in your thoughts.
Thank you.
