POLA is an old Malbrouck monkey. She has recently been taken in at the sanctuary. POLA has been kept for 12 years as a pet by people who decided no longer to keep her…
POLA has back problems and analayses/an X-Ray showed heart issues. She is eating well, moving slowly, seldom jumps (due to her hunched back!) and she refuses the presence of other primates. Imagine, she has been alone for 12 years and she probably wants to have her little habits…
More updates on POLA will come. Meanwhile, we insist on the fact that PRIMATES ARE NOT PETS! Don’t buy a monkey because you want to rescue it because (1) it means the traders will go back to the forest and kill more to sell more and also because (2) these creatures are not made to remain in cages … They must be free !
