J.A.C.K. Rehabilitation Center and all its red-tailed monkey residents would like to express their deep gratitude to THOIRY-PEAUGRES CONSERVATION for its exceptional contribution in the construction of a large wooded external pen annexed to the night rooms built for orphaned primates rescued from Sankuru via our partner APPACOL-PRN.
This species, native to Central Africa, is unfortunately threatened with extinction due to the destruction of its natural habitat and intensive poaching. J.A.C.K. works to protect and rehabilitate these vulnerable animals by providing them with a safe and suitable environment.
Thanks to the contribution of THOIRY-PEAUGRES CONSERVATION and its commitment to the conservation of endangered species, J.A.C.K. was able to provide an environment that meets the needs of these small primates.
The construction of this large wooded enclosure is a crucial step in the rehabilitation process of the red-tailed monkeys as it provides them with a spacious area to move around, explore and interact with their natural environment. It also contributes to their physical and mental well-being, which is essential for their rehabilitation and reintroduction into the wild while being protected from predators and other external dangers.
With the very kind support of the French Foundation, J.A.C.K. can continue its vital work to protect the red-tailed monkeys and offer them a chance to survive in a world where their natural habitat is under constant threat.
A 2023 grant for more facilities was recently received from this institution and our residents, saved from the bushmeat trade and the illegal exotic pet trade, are eternally grateful for its interest and trust!
THANK YOU to Thoiry Peaugres Conservation, its management and its donors for always being there for THEM!
