Dear All
Some of you already know Doguy as I have mentionned in a former post he has had eye keratytis since February 2009.
Although we have tried so many different treatments, no real improvement has been noticed.
Doguy was recently sedated. The vet used fluoresceine to check the keratytis and announced the eye was lost and that it should be removed.
This news saddens us all as we have been trying to heal Doguy’s eye for several years now…
Doguy’s eye apparently doesn’t hurt. Although the young male is now used to his condition, he still needs his best friend Zamba to protect him from the others and to guide him around the open air facility…
You are brave, Doguy! And thank you so much Zamba for your help!

I’m glad he has one good eye, although I know what a disability it is for Doguy to have only one. I hope he adjusts and learns to compensate — and continues to have good friends like Zamba to help out!
dear Amy, the vision of his second eye is fine; Doguy doesn’t seem to have any problems with his left eye… we cross our fingers nothing will happen to this eye! thank you both, Christine & Amy, for enquiring…
OOPS just saw that eye needed to be removed The only positive is that both people & animals do well with the loss of an eye if it must happen
Poor baby At least Zamba protects him Is the eye going to be removed It is so sad we canot explain to him why…..
How is his vision in his good eye?
Oh, poor Doguy! Although I hope the glass half full perspective is that this should no longer cause him constant discomfort…sorry to hear it though…virtual hugs all around…
