We would like to thank Brigitte Bardot Foundation which, since 2009, has been supporting us in our mission to protect endangered species and to strengthen the laws that protect Congolese fauna and flora.
Indeed, the Brigitte Bardot Foundation fights against several forms of abuse of wild and domestic animals.
The foundation had guaranteed to build an external enclosure for the 5 babies that had just been rescued by J.A.C.K. (Monga, Hussein, César, Banda, Bunia). But, unfortunately, following the tragic incident that occurred (Kidnapping of Monga, Hussein, César), J.A.C.K. had to strengthen the security of its site to protect its residentsand team.
Thus, in 2022, the Brigitte Bardot Foundation in its generosity agreed to change the objective of its donation to allow J.A.C.K., which was in need, to strengthen the security of the site.
With this donation, J.A.C.K. was able to:
– Install a surveillance camera system
– Fence the entire site with a 3m high fence reinforced with barbed wire
– Build a house for the 4 Rangers and cover all the expenses inherent to the work of the armed ecoguards (food, salary bonus).
Thanks to the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, J.A.C.K. has been able to enforce security at the complex so as to keep our residents and team safe from harm. All the J.A.C.K. residents do thank you for your generosity and trust. Please accept the expression of our deepest gratitude.
