Pasa is a young male chimpanzee of about 14 years old. We rescued him in 2009.
A few weeks ago, when opening the gates to put the group of Pasa outside, we noticed the tip of one of his fingers had been bitten off at night.
Our vet, Dr MUTUMBA, sedated Pasa. The wound had to be cleaned and stitched immediately!
Pasa remained isolated for about 2 to 3 weeks as he needed daily care and we wanted the wound to heal up well.
We were very proud of Pasa because he never tried to get rid of the stitches! He went back into his group as if nothing had happened and we are relieved this story has a beautiful happy end!!!
